A holistic education philosophy underpins the creation of The Alpha educational programme. Each child deserves a fully rounded programme, which harnesses the natural creativity and curiosity of the young child. Alpha teachers are highly responsive to the unique learning needs of children in their care. Confident, happy children, who are taught in a way which best suits their needs, are able to learn rapidly and to retain that passion for learning which is the hallmark of a successful learner.
The Alpha eLearning Programme meets the educational, social and emotional needs of the children in our learning community by providing a multifaceted curriculum and in depth assessment of each student’s learning needs via the Synergistic Learning Profile and Needs Analysis tools which are exclusive to Alpha.
Stress is the major enemy of good learning. Students who learn in a stress free environment are able to excel and reach their full potential. Individualised programmes are provided for each student to maximise learning opportunities. There are no time filling exercises at the Alpha Programme. Targeted learning programmes are delivered in brain friendly learning sessions to ensure maximum learning uptake. The educational programme alternates holistic and analytic tasks which ensure maximum brain efficiency.
The Alpha Programme employs the latest brain friendly learning techniques to deliver high quality education programmes to each student. The learning day is structured to ensure maximum learning readiness. Research has indicated that primary students are morning learners. For this reason the school day runs from 8:15 am - 12:40pm [interspersed by brain refresher breaks] allowing students to pursue enrichment programmes of their own choice in the afternoon.
Flexi Friday is an off line but not an off work day. Students work on practical activities such as science experiments, art activities, and music making but these activities can be completed at any time before 4 pm on Sunday. This flexibility allows Alpha students time to enjoy social and sporting activities with their peers. Nor are Alpha students tied to their computers. The advent of wireless technology widens options for students who may be working at their desk or in the garden working on a science experiment. Students are engaged in a range of rewarding educational activities which energise rather than fatigue them. Parents report increased social and sporting activity when a student joins Alpha.
